Crail & the East Neuk
The Scottish Countryman is based just a mile outside the beautiful village of Crail in the East Neuk and we’re very proud to be located in such a special place. We offer two rooms of Bed and breakfast accommodation and you can also do tours with us.
I’ve lived and worked in this area for about 15 years and I can now offer you insider’s access to the East Neuk through my half and full-day tours of the East Neuk. My tours are for 1 to 3 people and based on your wish-list - I tailor our route to whatever you’d most like to see. Prefer history to geography? Or shopping to sight-seeing? Want to take time to explore on foot a bit rather than drive everywhere ? I can make that happen.
We can do all of the East Neuk villages, or combine some of the East Neuk with time in St Andrews or Falkland. Can’t do a tour? Here are my recommendations for a visit to Crail and the East Neuk.
Stay
Stay in our 19thC bed and breakfast, just a mile from Crail.
We have two bed and breakfast rooms in one wing of our 19th century home, which was once a coaching inn. The current house dates back to 1832 but there was an inn here for many years before that, where the Farrier (know then as a Hammer Man) was based, shoeing the horses and repairing the metal work on the coaches and wheels.
Both of our b&b rooms are spacious and well-equipped, featuring dining tables and super-king beds as well as having their own bathrooms (one is ensuite). There is a separate entrance and parking right at the door.
To check our availability, please email and we’ll get back to you promptly.
