Where we are

The Scottish Countryman | Inspired Falconry is located at Hammer Inn by Crail in the East Neuk of Fife.

We are just 8 miles from St Andrews on the A917, half way between Kingsbarns and Crail. From Dundee, it takes about 30 minutes to drive here; from Edinburgh? About an hour.

Getting here by car

Your best bet is to put The Scottish Countryman into Google Maps before you set off. That’ll give you our exact location at Hammer Inn and you can then send the details to your phone to keep you right.

Otherwise…SATNAV to post code KY10 3XQ; grid reference NO605092. The post code covers a few places round here, though, and it’ll probably take you to Grassmiston Farm but that’s just half a mile away from Hammer Inn.

We’re just next to the Wormiston turnoff, which is a mile before Crail on the A917 - look out for signs at our road-end. If you reach the right turn for Leven on the B9171, you've just missed us!

Parking on site

We have free customer parking on site. There's enough space for several cars or even a full-sized bus!

Opening hours

We are open most days and have bookable slots from 10:30am to 2:30pm in winter and 10:30am to 7:30pm in summer.

In order to prepare the birds for the experiences, we only take advance bookings but you're welcome to call us on 07801 544 124 to see if we have any same-day availability left.

Exclusive experiences - just for you!

To ensure you get the most out of your time with us, your booking will only ever be exclusively for you, as we don't combine groups (except for Groupon bookings).

Your exclusive experience means you'll have plenty of time to ask your questions, take photographs and just enjoy the countryside scenery at Hammer Inn. Why not bring a picnic to enjoy in the orchard here?

Our experiences last from approximately 45 minutes to just over two hours, depending on what you book and how many people are in your party.
