What will my East Neuk Explorer boat trip experience include?

Typically, our East Neuk explorer experience includes:

  • an introduction and safety briefing

  • departure by boat from Crail harbour, usually within an hour of high tide

  • option to visit any/all of: Fife Ness, Cellardyke, Anstruther - time and tides permitting

  • option to go ashore at Cellardyke or Anstruther - time and tides permitting

  • return by boat to Crail harbour

  • see below for tide times/bookable dates and video clips of the East Neuk Explorer trip

When tides and weather permits, we can tailor this experience to your own preferences. For example, you can choose to go only to Fife Ness for the duration of your trip. Or head straight to Cellardyke to enjoy a meal at The Haven, right next to the harbour, before returning to Crail.

Essential information

  • Trips that begin and end at Crail Harbour typically use the harbour slipway for access, but may require passengers to descend and ascend an upright metal ladder in the harbour wall

  • All trips are dependent on weather, tides and seaworthiness. If we have to cancel, you will be able to choose EITHER an alternative date OR a full refund

  • If you have to cancel, we will issue a refund as per the policy outlined in our terms and conditions (opens in a new browser window)

  • When you purchase a boat trip you will be required to complete a short form before check-out, confirming that you have read and understood our terms and conditions

Good to know:

  • Minimum of 2 participants, maximum of 4

  • Minimum age 12

  • We'll provide life-jackets, just be sure to wear clothing suitable for the weather on the day. (And no high heels!)

  • All trips are weather and tide dependent. See our boat trip terms and conditions (opens in a new browser window)

  • I have skippered boats for many years and have the RYA Power Boat Level 2 accreditation

  • You can also purchase a gift code for this experience and see how my gift codes work

Next dates available will be in Spring 2023. We’ll update this page in March 2023.

Please call or message Steve on 07801 544 124 to check your preferred date before you book your experience. He will hold a date for up to 24 hours.
